EMRE KALFA
DEMET ONGUN TETİK
Born in 1983 in Edirne, Demet Ongun Tetik started rhythmic gymnastics in 1990 and continued her sports life.
He wore the national jersey 38 times.
She was 8 times champion of Turkey, in 1997 she won the ISF World championship and in 97 Balkan championships she brought the third place medal to our country.
Between 1990-2000, she received ballet training from Romanian State Opera and Ballet instructors.
In 2001, she graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Sports Sciences and Technology as a physical education teacher.
Between 2001-2012, she worked as a coach in the Rhythmic Gymnastics branch of METU Sports Club, trained Turkish champions and gave athletes to the national team.
Between 2006-2017, he worked as a physical education teacher at Bilkent High School and won 5 Turkish championships with Bilkent High School Step Team.
Between 2012-2014, he worked in the technical board of the Turkish Gymnastics Federation.
In 2000, he was awarded the “Olympic Torch Nihat Yılbar Gymnastics Award” by the Turkish National Olympic Committee.
He is the first athlete to receive this award.
As of 2007, she worked as a rhythmic gymnastics national referee.
In 2017, she started infrastructure gymnastics classes within Stardance and contributed to many children to experience this sport.
DAMLA KÖKEN
In 2005 (at the age of 8), she started dancing under the tutelage of İpek Yavuzer within METU Equal Dance Ensemble/ METU Sports Club. Damla Köken, a B National athlete of Turkey, returned with many medals from her age group in national and international competitions she participated in on behalf of Stardance Sports Club; due to a serious knee injury, she had to end her career as a Dance Sport athlete in 2013.
Although she quit professional sports, she continued to dance and in addition to Dance Sport, she received training in Jazz/Contemporary, Salsa, Flemenco dances, and in 2017, she received a 1st level Dance Sport Anteneur certificate and started teaching.
In the same year, she received her referee license and was assigned as a TDSF referee in competitions.
Damla Köken, who has been a dance instructor / instructor at Dansera Dance Academy, Hacettepe Dance Sports Club, has been teaching at Stardance since 2017.
